Did you know that the tooth fairy tradition dates back to the early 1900s?
In fact, the Chicago Tribune first mentioned the "Tooth Fairy" in one of its articles in 1908!
Lillian Brown, the article's author, gave new parents a hint that might help them persuade their children to pull their baby teeth.
You've probably guessed it, but this suggestion was a "Tooth Fairy" who would collect their teeth and leave 5 cents under their pillow for every tooth lost.
Eventually, and after this initial mention of the tooth fairy, the myth of the Tooth Fairy was born into popular culture and became an essential part of childhood!
